How many photos do I need for a 5 minute funeral slideshow?
About 75 to 100 photos, at 3 to 4 seconds each. At a slower 5 seconds a photo, about 60.
How many photos do I need for a 3 minute slideshow?
About 45 to 60 photos, at 3 to 4 seconds each. That is roughly the length of one song.
How many seconds should each photo stay on screen?
3 to 4 seconds in a shorter slideshow, and 4 to 6 in a longer one where you want a slower feel. Much past 6 seconds, the pace can start to drag.
How long should a funeral slideshow be?
Four to six minutes suits most services. A longer film can play at the reception while people talk.
How many songs do I need for a funeral slideshow?
One song for every 3 to 4 minutes. A 5 minute slideshow needs 2 songs, and a 10 minute one needs 3 or 4.
Why does a Create film hold fewer photos in the same time?
A Create film opens with a portrait and a card with the name and dates, and closes with a verse and your own words. That adds about 37 seconds. It also pauses on a short scenery clip after every ten photos, and the last photo stays a few seconds longer. The calculator counts all of it, so the length it shows is the length the app shows you.
Does the calculator work for PowerPoint or a phone app?
Yes. The “Any slideshow” numbers are simply photos times seconds, so they hold in PowerPoint, Google Slides, a phone app or a video editor. Allow a little extra if your app adds titles or slow transitions.
